This oceanfront estate sits on a lot of approximately 10,000 sq ft., with 130 feet of ocean frontage. Enjoy and share our beach with the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. You will be staying a short three miles from Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay and Haleiwa town, on the famous North Shore surf spot Chuns Reef. Click here to see maps and satellite photos of our location. Boogieboards, surfboards, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, skimboards and beach toys are provided. The snorkeling is excellent with Green Sea Turtles and many tropical fish species inhabiting the reef. Chuns Reef is directly in front of the house, with seven famous surf breaks suiting beginners to experienced riders. You can check the surf right now with our live streaming surf cam: There is a private gate with 3-4 steps to the white sand beach, and shared outdoor exercise area. The home was originally constructed as the "Laniakea Train Station" in the late 1800s. It was remodeled in 2006, and features many antiques from around the world. Because of it's history, it is built much closer to the ocean than current regulations allow. It's unique position as a point home on the edge of Chun's Reef Beach means there are neighbors on only one side. The hills behind the home are undeveloped lending the neighborhood an open country atmosphere. There is secure parking for one car for each unit in the driveway. The property is on Kam. Hwy., a two lane main road, and there is a bus stop in front of the home. Telephone at the home is shared with free long distance to US and Canada. (Sorry, no incoming calls.) There is a wrap around lanai with outdoor dining area and ocean views. Cool ocean breezes are complemented by ceiling and floor fans throughout the home. Master bedroom has TV and air conditioning.

The garden cottage is on a large oceanfront estate at Chuns Reef Beach. It is detached from the main house. The cottage has an ocean view and is steps across the driveway to private gated white sand beach. It is upgraded and very clean. The cottage has 2 rooms (very small). The bedroom has a queen bed, a large TV, HBO, Showtime on demand and VCR. The second room has a small convenience kitchen / microwave / toaster oven, blender, coffeemaker, small hotel refrigerator etc. The unit has fan and air conditioner. Two sets of sliding glass doors and main door allow cross ventilation by trade winds. The cottage was remodeled in May of 2006. There is wireless internet or plug in for your computer. The "private" bathroom has a bathtub. However, it is an 8-foot walk on a covered pathway from the detached cottage. My home is an old 1890-1900 train station. Your cottage is the original smokehouse for the train station. You will also enjoy a private covered lanai (patio) with a fish pond and small waterfall. There is an area off the exercise room for dinning on the beach, for the garden cottage only. Shared: Two washers and dryers, exercise room on the beach, private beach gate.
